System integrated precision encoders and a video image with automated 3-axis motion control, Zoom magnification, lighting, edge tools, and metrology software.

There are two types of Automated Vision System:

  1. Vertex: The Vertex Multi-sensor Measurement Systems implement new technologies to provide speed and accuracy on reliable and affordable measuring machines. The systems include InSpec Metrology Software, a programmable optical zoom, 3x digital zoom, non-linear stage compensation, non-linear optics compensation, and advanced LED lighting. InSpec Metrology Software provides point and- click simplicity, proprietary edge detection, advanced lighting control and calibration, multi-sensor integration, automated calibrations, and a clear display of measurement data and tolerances.
  1. Excel: The Excel Multi-sensor Measuring CentersTM employ new technologies to provide high speed and accuracy on reliable and affordable measurement systems. In addition to Vision capabilities, the Excel offers Touch Probe and Laser measurement capabilities. Touch Probe capabilities improve 3D measurement capabilities. Laser capabilities improve speed for scanning and Z height measurements. With the multisensor capabilities, advanced digital and optical zoom, proprietary edge detection, and InSpec Metrology Software, the Excel Measuring CentersTM can handle demanding measurement applications. The gantry style system accommodates large parts or fixtures of multiple parts while maintaining a relatively small footprint. Parts up to 800 mm wide and weighing up to 100kg fit on the stage.

Manual Vision System (SOL):

Video systems provide for easy manual measurements using a video image and precision encoders. An operator views a video image and adjusts the zoom magnification, lighting, and focus as needed. A metrology readout or software enables a variety of measurements.

Micro-Vu's new Sol Measurement System provides a versatile solution for precision part inspection. The Sol significantly reduces inspection times and increases inspection capabilities. The Sol features one micron resolution scales and InSpec Metrology Software for Manual Vision Measurement Machine. InSpec Metrology Software includes automated edge detection, automated focus detection, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and reporting. Programmable lighting makes features stand out. When features are accentuated, they are easier to measure and results are more repeatable. The programmable 6:1 zoom make small features conspicuous and simple to measure. The Sol replaces the popular vector machine.
